Kate joined Nesta in 2015. Alongside Dan and Catherine, she has spent the past 6 years leading the People Powered Results team to develop their approach and methodology and design and deliver complex transformation programmes across the UK. Kate is a highly experienced facilitator and coach and her work within PPR has had a particular focus on building innovation skills and capacity in others.
Before joining Nesta, Kate spent 8 years working in health and social care in a range of roles and settings. Her experience includes frontline mental health services and managing teams working with vulnerable adults.
Kate is really good at taking complex information and breaking it down in a way that is clear and accessible. She is passionate about social innovation and in particular, working with diverse groups so that their voices are heard and inform the changes that affect them.
Creativity and humour are important to Kate and she brings a sense of fun and experimentation to all her work. She has spent the last few years building her comfort with failure and honing her presentation and public speaking skills. This experience has come in handy as she recently made her first foray into stand up and comedy panel shows.
